SurgiVet Subcutaneous Catheter Sets. This catheter set is used in patients that need frequent fluid therapy or subcutaneous medication administration. It is placed under the skin typically lateral to the spine and in between the scapulas of both cats and dogs. When used, this reduces the amount of repeated pokes with a needle that the patient has to endure. Patients can be sent home with the catheter, making it easier for owners to administer fluids and medications to their pet without having to use needles. Can be used for up to 1 year.
